
The STEM Program
This is a free 9-week experience for students all around the world to learn and build their coding superpowers all while working with their own diverse team to implement a hand-coded program in addition to creating a final pitch. Participants will be paired into teams of 3-5 other peers. With every two teams, they will be paired with two facilitators to form a group. Students will leave this program with a certificate to show their program completion along with a hands on experience to deepen their knowledge on computer programming, new friends from across the world, enhanced leadership and teamwork skills, and also multiple different opportunities to further develop their STEM career.
Participant Overview
Participants must be aged 12-18 and be able to dedicate 2-5 hours every week to this program. Participants can be from anywhere around the world, but they must be able to speak English fluently. Participants do not need prior coding experience. To be considered for the January cohort, apply by December 15, 2024 at 11:59 PM EST. Decisions will be released before January 1, 2025. Facilitator Overview
Facilitators must be in high school or beyond and be able to dedicate 2-5 hours every week to this program and to leading their group. All hours dedicated to this program can be counted as volunteer hours. Facilitators can be from anywhere around the world, but they must be able to speak English fluently. Mentor Overview

All hours dedicated to this program can be counted as volunteer hours. Mentors can be from anywhere around the world, but they must be able to speak English fluently. Mentors need to be experienced in the Java coding language. All materials will be supplied to the mentors. To be considered for the January cohort, apply by December 15, 2024 at 11:59 PM EST.
