About Us
My STEM Project is an organization dedicated to empowering high school students worldwide to pursue existing or newfound passions in the field of STEM. We are here to help students from across the world get a head start in their careers by offering free coding tutorials, a look into the real world of teamwork through working with students internationally, and a pivotal opportunity to enhance their leadership and speaking skills. Ultimately, we are here to help students from across the world jumpstart their STEM careers and provide them the opportunity to learn how to code for free.

Our Story
My STEM Project was founded in November of 2022 after Joanne Lin went on a fully funded exchange to Brazil by the U.S. Department of State through the Youth Ambassadors Program. Through her experience visiting another country and first-hand meeting students from multiple private and public schools, Joanne realized how vastly different opportunities for different activities are in each part of the world. Combined with her passion for STEM, Joanne wanted to create a program that allowed students from all across the world to participate. Her passion for coding and empowering students to pursue a STEM career was the driving piece behind creating this nonprofit.
